Pakistan to bat after winning toss
Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat in the third of the four-match ODI series against England. They need to beat England in Dubai to prevent the tourists clinching the series.
Younis Khan was left out because he was "feeling unwell" and Asad Shafiq deputised. "Younis is our main player and it is disappointing," captain Misbah-ul-Haq said.
Pakistan also made a change at wicketkeeper with Umar Akmal, a reluctant keeper whose form has been heavily criticised, replaced by his brother Adnan, who kept in the Test series. The left-arm spinner, Abdur Rehman, was dropped to make room for Adnan.
England, who have won the first two matches, were unchanged for the third successive match
Alastair Cook, who made back-to-back hundreds in the first two matches, is not used to losing many tosses. "We would have liked to win it again, but the stats here are 4-4 so you still have to play well," he said.
Pakistan 1 Mohammad Hafeez, 2 Imran Farhat, 3 Azhar Ali, 4 Asad Shafiq, 5 Misbah-ul-Haq, 6 Umar Akmal, 7 Adnan Akmal, 8 Shahid Afridi, 9 Umar Gul, 10 Saeed Ajmal, 11 Aizaz Cheema
England 1 Alastair Cook capt, 2 Kevin Pietersen, 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Ravi Bopara, 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Craig Kieswetter, 7 Samit patel, 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 James Anderson, 11 Steven Finn
